History

Barristers in Great Britain are the high-caste lawyers.

The word "barrister" derivates from the English word “bar”, it is the barrier that separates the judge from the defendant. This is the highest rank of lawyer in Britain. Since the XV century, the prisoners could instruct "an educated and eloquent friend" to protect their interests. The barristers had access to the "judicial bar", thus they could be heard by the court in the interests of their client.

The barrister's speech in court is precise and sharp as a blade.

They use to say in England about gin that it is “as cold as steel” - due to the strong cold aftertaste.

As Cold As Steel

When the name for the new brand was under discussion on Baker Street in London, the choice fell on “Barrister”, because it reflects best the meaning of the authentic gin AS COLD AS STEEL.

The premiere of new flavored gins in Russia was held at the MBS-2018 (Moscow Bar Show) in Saint Petersburg in October. A month later there was an international show of the extended range at the Duty Free exhibition in Cannes.

The visitors of both event left positive feedback about Barrister flavored edition. The Barrister Russian gin is well known in the category Dry and Old Tom for the majority of the guests. And these new gins were really surprising and thought-provoking in terms of adding new positions to their menus.

The new flavored gins are made from natural ingredients, one of the botanicals dominates in each: Barrister Pink – wild strawberry, for berry-lovers; Barrister Blue – a mixture of orange and cardamom; Barrister Orange – an orange gin with 43% potency, made specially for cocktails with emphasized citrus note.
